Under the patronage of Sheikha Asma bint Saqr Al Qasimi, the Sharjah Book Authority’s Eastern Region office organised the Storytelling cultural programme, bringing together a distinguished group of poets and writers from the UAE and other Arab countries.
Moza Abdullah Handhal, Head of Programmes and Events at the Sharjah Book Authority’s Eastern Region office, affirmed that the patronage and presence of Sheikha Asma bint Saqr Al Qasimi reflect her ongoing support for cultural activities and her commitment to fostering literary initiatives that bring together creators and writers.
In statements to “Sharjah 24,” Handhal explained that the programme hosted Emirati poet Hamda Al Muhairi, Saudi poet Hind Al Faheem, and Omani poet Rehab Al Saadi, who shared literary and cultural experiences exploring thought, storytelling, and literature, contributing to the enrichment of the cultural scene.
Handhal added that the Storytelling programme is part of the Sharjah Book Authority – Eastern Region’s ongoing efforts to support writers and literary figures, refine talent, and build a nurturing cultural environment that contributes to developing a new generation of intellectuals and poets in the Eastern Region.
