Dr Ammar Allay Al Naqbi, Chairman of Khorfakkan Football Company, revealed the festival’s details at a coordination meeting at Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club. He explained that the festival aims to strengthen community participation, promote a culture of sport, and support family engagement, in line with the UAE’s Year of the Family.
Special prizes will be awarded, including a prize for the largest participating family, alongside awards for women and other categories, reinforcing the values of family cohesion and active lifestyles.
Al Naqbi noted that the organising committee is targeting between 2,500 and 3,000 participants, making this the largest edition to date. He highlighted that the growing turnout reflects the festival’s increasing prominence across the Eastern Region.
