Khorfakkan Club concludes Government Volleyball Championship

Sharjah24: Khalid Murad Abdullah, a Board Member of Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club, announced the conclusion of the Government Departments Volleyball Championship organised by the club in Khorfakkan as part of the Sport Before Iftar Programme, launched by the Sharjah Sports Council in cooperation with sports clubs during the holy month of Ramadan.

The final match saw Khorfakkan Club (2) face Dar Al Qadaa Team, with Khorfakkan claiming the championship after winning the decisive game.

12 teams participated

Speaking to Sharjah24, Khalid Murad Abdullah explained that the tournament involved 12 teams from various government departments, fostering a competitive spirit that reflected cooperation and camaraderie among participants.

He noted that the event aims to encourage sports participation and promote healthy lifestyles during Ramadan while strengthening social bonds among employees of government entities.

Khalid Murad Abdullah expressed his gratitude to the participating teams and sponsors for their support in making the event a success, emphasising the importance of such initiatives in boosting community sports activities and promoting sports culture across society during Ramadan.
