The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Governments Summit Organisation; and Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
The discussions reviewed the strong bilateral ties between the UAE and Latvia and explored ways to enhance cooperation across key sectors, particularly economic and trade relations, to serve mutual interests and open new partnership opportunities.
Both sides also discussed priority issues on the agenda of the World Governments Summit 2026, in line with its objective of promoting intergovernmental collaboration through high-level dialogue and the exchange of best practices in governance and development.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed Latvia’s participation in the Summit, stressing the importance of international cooperation in addressing future global challenges. Prime Minister Evika Siliņa highlighted the strength of UAE–Latvia relations and praised the Summit as a vital global platform for dialogue and forward-looking governance.
