Sharjah 24: During her appearance at one of the evenings of the “Let's Khorfakkan” Festival, held at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, Syrian singer Assala Nasri said that the audience leaves the strongest mark on an artist’s memory, highlighting that the Khorfakkan audience is distinguished by its engagement and supportive presence.

Asasla Nasri performed as part of the festival’s artistic programme before a large turnout from the city’s residents. The evening combined artistic performance with audience interaction, which the singer described as a key element in the success of any show.

Speaking to “Sharjah 24,” Assala Nasri emphasised that while theatres leave their own mark on an artist’s journey, direct interaction with the audience is what gives a performance its true value. She noted that the people of Khorfakkan are known for their strong presence and positive engagement with performers.

The Syrian artist added that Khorfakkan has become an important artistic hub, thanks to its open-air theatre and unique cultural experience. She highlighted that the Emirate’s artistic events reflect Sharjah’s commitment to art and culture and underscore the role of the audience as an active contributor to the success of these events.

Assala also mentioned that she chose to wear traditional Emirati attire during her performance, in tribute to the occasions when she has performed in Sharjah and Khorfakkan over the past years.
