German Raimund wins Normal Hill gold in ski jumping

Germany’s Philipp Raimund claimed the Normal Hill ski jumping gold medal in Predazzo at the Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics.

With a total of 274.1 points from two rounds, in which he delivered the best overall performance, the 25-year-old finished ahead of 19-year-old Polish jumper Kacper Tomaszak, who took silver with 270.7 points. The bronze medal was shared by Japan’s Ren Nikaido and Switzerland’s Gregor Deschwanden, with 266 points each.
