The session aimed to enhance community partnership and cooperation with all segments of society by discussing ways to improve road safety and listening to residents’ opinions and suggestions, contributing to the development of security services and achieving a safer traffic environment.
The dialogue session was attended by Brigadier General Dr Omar Al Ghazal Al Shamsi, Director-General of the General Directorate of Operations and Security Support; Colonel Mohammed Al Mehrzi, Director of Vehicle and Drivers Licensing Department; Colonel Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, Head of Al Dhaid Comprehensive Police Station; Musabah Mohammed Al Teneiji, Chairman of Al Bustan Council; as well as a number of Al Dhaid residents and council members.
The session covered several topics related to police services and road safety, addressing unsafe behaviours and negative trends on the roads. Residents presented solutions and proposals that will contribute to developing the police service system and improving traffic awareness programmes, positively impacting overall road safety in the emirate.
Brigadier General Al Ghazal Al Shamsi emphasised the importance of such sessions as a direct interactive platform for exchanging views and opinions, listening to the community’s needs and observations, supporting decision-making based on actual requirements, and ensuring that the services provided are well-suited to the nature of the area.
