Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works organised a tour for engineering students from the American University of Sharjah (AUS) to observe the progress of the multi-story parking project on campus. The project is currently being implemented by the department as part of its plans to support educational infrastructure in the emirate.

During the tour, students learned about the project's implementation phases, the key engineering technologies being used, and the safety and quality standards adopted by the department in its projects. The project team also provided a detailed explanation of the construction mechanisms, traffic management within the parking structure, and the design solutions that ensure optimal space utilisation.

Specialised workshop on multi-story parking construction

On the sidelines of the tour, the department organised a specialised workshop on multi-story parking construction mechanisms. The workshop covered structural design methods, sustainability requirements, and managing technical challenges in large-scale projects. Students participated in interactive discussions with the department's engineers, providing them with an opportunity to connect academic theory with practical application.

The Public Works Department confirmed that these visits come within the framework of strengthening cooperation with academic institutions, and enabling students to learn about the vital projects implemented by the department, which contributes to developing their skills and preparing them for the labor market.
