The session was titled “Public Health and Quality of Life: How to Protect Ourselves Amidst the Fast Pace of Life,” organized by the Sharjah Press Club, part of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, on Wednesday in Aljada in Sharjah. It featured Professor Dr Hani Abdel-Jawad.
Dr Al Sajwani confirmed during an interview with “Sharjah 24” that the discussion focused on treating health as a shared responsibility. He pointed out that attention to health begins with prevention and adopting a healthy lifestyle, and is not limited to treatment after illness. He also cautioned against relying on information circulating on social media without verifying its scientific sources.
The family medicine consultant at Mediclinic Middle East added that artificial intelligence technologies are supportive tools in spreading health awareness, but they do not replace direct medical consultation, clinical examination, or specialized assessment.
Al-Sajwani concluded by emphasizing that Ramadan offers a chance to strengthen core human values, explaining that tolerance has a positive effect on mental health, which in turn supports physical health, and calling for the building of a healthy, disease-free society.
