Sharjah24 - WAM: More than 200 people were killed on Tuesday after a mine collapsed in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The DRC Ministry of Mines said the collapse occurred at the Rubaya mining sites in North Kivu province, an area known for its coltan resources, following exceptionally heavy rainfall. Local media indicated that the death toll could exceed 400, excluding those still missing.
