In its sixth episode, the programme features a rare copy of Mukhtasar al-Jami’ fi al-Qira’at al-Ashr by Yusuf bin Ali bin Jabara al-Hadhli al-Baskari, Abu al-Qasim, copied in 871 AH across 128 pages.
Saeed al-Madawi, General Supervisor of the Manuscripts House, explained that this is the only complete manuscript in the world under this title. He noted that the opening text reads: “Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The best reflection after knowing Allah is the Book of Allah… I sought to compile in the Jami’ the ten readings of the people of Iraq, Hijaz, and Sham, summarised in concise expressions with their transmissions, to facilitate memorisation.”
The manuscript has a brown leather binding with a decorative almond-shaped medallion, a restored first page, and headings and reading symbols in red ink.
