Sharjah 24: Five Emirati trainers are set to battle it out in the Kahila Classic, one of the highlight races on the Dubai World Cup night. The Grade 1, 2,000-metre dirt event for purebred Arabian horses boasts a prize fund of one million dollars, ensuring a high-stakes clash on the Meydan track.

Rising to the challenge
The Dubai Kahila Classic is a chance for trainers Musabah Al Muhairi, Ahmed bin Harmash, Hamad Ali Al Marar, Majid Al Jahouri, and Saif Al Marar to show off their skills on the world stage. They already have an impressive record in regional and global competitions.

Majid Al Jahouri, running horses Murad and Tareq, remains confident despite fierce competition. “Murad is ready for this global challenge. The race will likely focus on Murad, First Class, and Mubid, but surprises are always possible. "Every participant wants a first-place finish," he said.

Open competition
Musabah Al Mehairi, who will enter Fizhar, stressed the openness of the contest. “This race is highly competitive. We wish all Emirati owners and trainers the best as they aim for the podium,” he commented.

Hamad Al Marar, preparing Go Star, highlighted the significance of the occasion. “Competing in an event that brings together the best owners, trainers, jockeys, and horses is thrilling. The organisers' meticulous preparations reflect the UAE's and Dubai's global reputations for hosting top-level sporting events,” he added.

With top-tier horses and dedicated trainers in the mix, the Kahila Classic promises a memorable showdown for fans of Arabian racing.
