During the meeting, Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to safeguarding trade flows and enhancing regional supply chain resilience through collaboration, advanced operational frameworks, and the development of alternative trade corridors. He emphasised the UAE’s role in building a connected, resilient, and future-ready trade ecosystem.
Abdulla bin Damithan, Chairman of the PCFC, highlighted progress in improving supply chain efficiency through initiatives at Fujairah and Khorfakkan ports and enhanced maritime connectivity. He stressed the importance of sustained coordination among public and private sector partners to address rising costs and operational challenges.
Dr Abdulla Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, outlined key customs initiatives, including the green corridor with Oman, acceptance of undertaking letters, and workshops for traders. He also discussed pilot projects like the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system and new maritime feeder services, along with efforts to expand multimodal transport solutions to enhance resilience and global competitiveness.
