Al Madam Club concludes UAE Archery Federation national trials

Sharjah 24: The UAE Archery Federation announced the conclusion of the national trials for the under-18 and under-21 men’s and women’s teams at Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club on Sunday, with the participation of 49 male and female athletes, in preparation for the Asian Championship from 12 to 19 December and the West Asia Championship next October.

Building a strong base of players

Humaid Sabt Al Shamsi, Chairman of the National Teams Committee, affirmed that the trials represent an important stage of the federation’s strategy to select qualified athletes to represent the national teams, in line with approved technical standards, with the aim of showcasing the best technical levels in international competitions.

Al Shamsi added that the federation continues its programmes aimed at discovering talent and building a strong base of male and female players, in cooperation with clubs, and implementing modern training programmes to enhance their competitive skills in preparation for international participation, especially as the national teams have demonstrated significant growth in competitiveness.
