The club achieved an impressive tally this season, winning 17 medals in seven tournaments—13 gold medals, one silver, and three bronze—while also retaining the league title for the second consecutive year across three age categories. This confirms its position as one of the UAE’s leading chess clubs across different age groups and its dominance on podium finishes.

This achievement followed the club’s victory in the UAE General Chess League for the second year in a row, after securing first place in the under-18, under-14, and under-10 categories.

Rapid chess results

In the UAE Rapid Chess Championship (men’s category), club players won a gold medal through Saud Jaber and a bronze medal through Abdulrahman Al Taher, alongside strong performances by Zayed Al Taher and Hamad Badr, reflecting the team’s competitiveness.

Youth players also delivered strong results in the UAE Rapid Chess Championship, winning four gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. Recognition and support

Tareem Matar Tareem, Chairman of the club, expressed appreciation to the Sharjah Sports Council, chaired by Sheikh Khalid bin Hamid Al Qasimi, for its continuous support of chess, which played a key role in achieving these results. He also thanked the club’s technical and administrative staff, players, and parents for their dedication and support.

Commitment to continued excellence

He affirmed pride in the club’s 2026 achievements, noting that the medal haul and league success reflect long-term strategic planning and institutional work in developing players and nurturing talent. He added that maintaining leadership across age groups is the result of sustained support for development programmes, youth focus, and a competitive environment capable of producing future champions.

The club confirmed its commitment to further developing its technical and administrative systems to continue achieving success and raising its profile in various competitions.
