Gold slips from one-month high on firmer dollar

Sharjah24 - WAM: Gold prices declined slightly on Wednesday after reaching a one-month peak earlier in the session, as the US dollar strengthened.

Spot gold dropped by 0.3% to US$4,828.07 per ounce as of 02:49 GMT, following its highest level since 18th March earlier in the day. Meanwhile, US gold futures for June delivery remained unchanged at US$4,851.30.

Other metals

In other precious metals trading, spot silver rose by 0.8% to US$80.15 per ounce. Platinum advanced 1.1% to US$2,126.14, while palladium slipped 0.1% to US$1,585.60.
