Sharjah 24: Lens secured three valuable points in Ligue 1 with a 3-2 victory over 10-man Toulouse in the opening match of Matchday 30.
Remarkable comeback

Second-placed Lens staged a remarkable comeback against 10-man Toulouse, overturning a two-goal deficit to win 3-2. This victory, their 20th of the season, temporarily reduced the gap with league leaders and defending champions Paris Saint-Germain to just one point.

Toulouse took an early lead through goals from Venezuelan Cristian Cáceres (1) and Seyni Koumbassa (13). Lens responded with three goals, courtesy of Saudi Arabian Saud Abdulhamid (61), Adrien Thomasson (67), and Ismaël Gagnoa (90+1).

Toulouse finished the match with 10 men after Yann Gbohouo was shown a straight red card (17).

Third consecutive defeat

Lens moved up to second place with 62 points, just one point behind league leaders and defending champions Paris Saint-Germain, who have 63. However, the European champions, coached by Spaniard Luis Enrique, have two games in hand, one of which they will play on Sunday when they host Lyon.

Meanwhile, Toulouse suffered their third consecutive defeat, leaving them stuck on 37 points in tenth place.
