Sharjah24: A graduate of the Certified Coach programme has led 35 participants in a leadership coaching course in Sharjah, organised in collaboration with youth councils at the Life Skills Centre over two days. The initiative follows his graduation from the Certified Coach programme offered by the Sharjah Capability Development Foundation.


Strong participation in leadership coaching

The course brought together 35 participants interested in coaching and self-development, reflecting growing community awareness of the importance of leadership coaching in empowering individuals and creating lasting personal and professional impact.

Theprogrammeopened with practical exercises focused on core coaching skills, with active engagement from participants. Discussions reflected diverse experiences and viewpoints, enriching the content and deepening practical understanding of the concepts presented.

 

Youth engagement and partnership model

Dr Mariam Bin Haddah, Chair of the Sharjah Youth Council, said the collaboration between the Sharjah Capability Development Foundation and youth councils represents a successful model of impactful partnerships. She noted that strong participation reflects the community’s need for such initiatives, which help develop youth skills and strengthen leadership capabilities.

 

Trainer perspective

Dr Younis Hassan Al Hosani,programmefacilitator and member of the Sharjah Capability Development Foundation, said his participation builds on the impact gained from the Certified Coachprogramme. He noted that leadership coaching is no longer optional but an essential skill for those seeking influence and positive change.

He added: “Through theseprogrammes, we aim to empower individuals to discover their true potential and lead themselves and others with awareness and responsibility, contributing positively to society.”

 

Supporting youth development

The course is part of the Sharjah Capability Development Foundation’s efforts to promote a culture of coaching and empower young people throughspecialisedprogrammesaligned with their needs, supporting their journey towards excellence and leadership.
