According to Aziza Suleiman Al Dhahouri, the festival’s official spokesperson, the event—organised by the Department of Culture on 24–25 April—features a diverse programme including poetry, visual arts, Arabic calligraphy, photography, theatre, and children’s workshops.
The opening day featured a cultural evening with Emirati poet Obaid bin Mubarak bin Qadhlan Al Mazrouei, alongside the presentation of “Dhiya’ Al Thaqafa,” a collaborative showcase highlighting local talent from Dibba Al Hisn. The festival also hosts an art exhibition by artist Abdullah Al Dhahouri, whose pencil drawings reflect residents’ emotional connection to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and to the city’s landmarks. Calligrapher Nargis also presents works celebrating the beauty of Arabic script.
A photography exhibition by Suleiman Al Shamsi captures the natural and cultural essence of Dibba Al Hisn, while another exhibition showcases publications from the Department of Culture, including magazines such as Sharjah Cultural, Qawafi, Al Rased, Theatre, Al Sharqiya, and Al Wusta.
The second day features family- and child-focused activities, including the interactive play “Innovation Village” by Ras Al Khaimah National Theatre, alongside creative workshops for children, reinforcing the festival’s role as a platform for creativity, learning, and community engagement.
