Palm City 365 crowned FA Cup champions after shootout win

Sharjah24: Palm City 365 clinched the UAE FA Cup title after beating Hatta Club 4-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the final at Al Maktoum Stadium.

Dramatic final decided on penalties

Hatta opened the scoring through Guilherme Castro in the 30th minute, before Palm City 365 equalised through Alejandro Pozuelo from the penalty spot in the 54th minute.

With the match level after regular time, Palm City 365 prevailed in the shootout to secure the title.

New competition format

The tournament was held under a revamped format organised by the UAE Football Association, featuring clubs from the first, second and third divisions in a unified competitive structure.

Continued success for champions

Palm City 365, recently crowned champions of the second division and promoted to the first division next season, continued their impressive form with this triumph, while Hatta—currently competing in the first division—aims to return to the professional league.
