Sharjah 24: Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning champions, emerged victorious from an open, attacking encounter against their German visitors, Bayern Munich, in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final. The tie remains wide open for the return leg.

PSG's victory was secured thanks to braces from Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24th and 56th minutes) and Ousmane Dembélé (45+5 and 59th minutes), while Portuguese João Neves also found the net (33rd minute).

Decisive second leg next Wednesday

For Bayern, England's Harry Kane (17th minute, penalty), France's Michael Olise (41st minute), France's Dayot Upamecano (65th minute), and Colombia's Luis Díaz (69th minute) all contributed to their goals.

The Allianz Arena will host the decisive second leg next Wednesday, with the competition wide open for any possibility of who will advance to the final scheduled for Budapest on May 30.
