The event featured the participation of 55 players from four clubs: Mleiha, Al Bataeh, Al Madam and Al Dhaid. Activities included competitive 3-on-3 matches held in an atmosphere marked by enthusiasm and strong competition. Further gatherings are scheduled throughout May for other youth categories, including “A Buds,” juniors and youth teams, with five additional clubs joining, bringing the total to nine participating clubs.
Developing foundational skills for future success
The programme aims to strengthen players’ fundamental skills at an early age, as part of the council’s broader efforts to develop the sport’s grassroots base across the emirate. It also seeks to prepare players through a structured training methodology that builds a generation capable of competing in the future and achieving success in the name of Sharjah.
