Sharjah 24: Lamia Al Suwaidi of the Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment, EKTIFA, has described Qand as more than just a chocolate brand — it is, in her words, a way of bringing the authentic Emirati experience to people. Available in two distinct flavours, the chocolate is crafted using Mleiha milk, Al Faya honey sourced from Sharjah's nature reserves, and fresh produce grown in Grass's agricultural greenhouses. The result, she says, is a luxury product made from the very best of what Sharjah's land has to offer.

Two flavours, one story

Speaking to Sharjah24, Al Suwaidi walked through what makes each variety special. The first is a dark chocolate with Al Faya natural honey and sea salt — a pairing that lets the golden, floral notes of the reserve honey come through against the depth of fine dark chocolate, finished with a delicate touch of salt. The second is inspired by the beloved Emirati dish, asida, combining pumpkin, dates, and almond slices, with cardamom and saffron taking centre stage to deliver a flavour that is unmistakably warm Emirati.

Where to find it

For those keen to try either variety, Al Suwaidi confirmed that Qand is already available to order through EKTIFA's official website.
