In exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24," Dr Al Ghawanimah emphasised that "FILI Poultry" is distinctive from the outset, with its breed being the key factor. This slow-growing breed tolerates colder temperatures better, giving it greater disease resistance than commercial chickens. He pointed out that its slow growth reduces stress on the birds, boosts their immune systems, and positively affects the quality and taste of the meat.
The General Manager of FILI Poultry Farm explained that one of the farm's features is its free-range rearing method, allowing the birds ample space outside the coops to behave naturally and move freely. In addition, they are fed organic feed free of chemicals.
The farm relies on the latest technologies, including automated systems for food and water delivery and a controlled ventilation system, and uses an advanced air-cooling system to ensure optimal conditions for the birds' growth.
Dr Taha Al Ghawanimah concluded that the farm combines high-quality breeding, healthy rearing practices, organic feeding, and modern technical management, thereby contributing to the production of healthy, safe local poultry. This supports Sharjah's efforts to develop the agricultural and livestock production sector and enhance sustainable food security.
