Al Hamriyah athletics team wins 11 medals at UAE Cup

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, witnessed the club’s athletics team winning 11 medals (5 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze) at the UAE Cup competitions held at the Dubai Police Officers Club from May 8 to 10, 2026.

Multiple gold medal performances

Khaled Awadh secured two gold medals in the junior category in the 80m hurdles and triple jump, while Ammar Mohammed won two gold medals in the youth category in the 400m and 400m hurdles. Mohammed Sinan added another gold in the men’s 400m race.

Silver and bronze medal achievements

The silver medals were achieved in the 4x200m relay events for both junior and senior categories. The bronze medals went to Omar Abdul Wahab (high jump, junior), Jack Joseph (long jump, junior), Saif Jassim (shot put, junior), and Mazen Omar (400m, youth).
