This support comes within the framework of the joint cooperation agreement between both sides and the bank’s commitment to distributing Zakat funds according to approved Sharia controls, reflecting the continued humanitarian and community partnership between SCHS and DIB, and supporting initiatives aimed at providing education, rehabilitation, and care for the most needy groups.
The support contributes to strengthening the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services Zakat campaign for 2026 under the slogan “Your Zakat Makes an Impact,” which aims to provide tuition fees and educational and rehabilitation services for students with disabilities eligible for Zakat funds, supporting the continuity of their educational journey and enhancing the developmental and humanitarian impact of Zakat.
The total approved support by the Zakat Fund Disbursement Committee for the academic year 2025–2026 amounts to AED 11,508,300, while the number of students eligible for Zakat funds reaches 509 students across the city.
Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services affirmed that tuition fees do not cover the full cost of specialized educational and rehabilitation services provided to students, highlighting the need for continuous efforts to secure sustainable income sources to ensure the continuity and quality of services.
