A latest release and a rich back catalogue
The pavilion features the ruler's latest historical novel, The Mongol Princess and the Tears of Compassion, alongside a selection of his celebrated narrative works, including The Pawned Dagger, Egyptian Memories, Shindagha: A Short Sojourn, and The Daring, which together form a coherent and deeply personal body of storytelling rooted in the region's history and identity. The Pawned Dagger, Egyptian Memories, Shindagha: A Short Sojourn, and The Daring are titles that, together, form a coherent and deeply personal body of storytelling rooted in the region’s history and identity.
Also on display are selections from the Jiroun Nameh, a manuscript that His Highness personally authenticated after discovering a copy at the British Library in 1994, dated to 1697 and originally composed in Persian verse – a find that reflects the scholarly rigour underpinning his work.
Theatre, language and encyclopaedic works
Visitors to the pavilion will find a range of His Highness’s theatrical works, including Al-Ḥīra Assembly, Al Barraq, Layla Al Afeefa, The Blood Stained Robe, Nimrod, Holagu's Return, Da'esh (ISIS), and Al Ghabra'a—plays that engage deeply with questions of justice, power, and Arab and Islamic history.
The five-volume History of Al Qawasim encyclopaedia is also on display, offering readers a comprehensive account of the Al Qasimi family across many centuries.
Rounding out the display is the Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language, overseen by the Arabic Language Academy, for which Al Qasimi Publications plays a central role in presentation and distribution — a landmark project documenting the evolution of Arabic vocabulary across the ages.
Bridging East and West
Al Qasimi Publications has consistently participated in major regional and international book fairs, with Doha ranking among the most significant cultural events on the Arab calendar. His Highness’s works being available in many languages means that the pavilion is not just a display but a real place for conversation – connecting the Gulf with the rest of the world, linking historical research with modern readers, and bringing together a ruler who writes and an audience keen to discuss his thoughts.
