Sharjah24: Saleh Obaid Al Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region branch of the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE), announced the honouring of 145 male and female students in the 16th edition of the Al Wusta Quran Award, organised by the Establishment in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere reflecting the ongoing development of the competition in memorisation and mastery of Tajweed rules. The ceremony was held on Friday evening at the Al Dhaid Cultural Centre in Al Dhaid.

Al Tunaiji stated that this year’s edition honoured Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Holy Quran Complex, at a ceremony attended by officials, dignitaries and residents of the Central Region.

Strong participation in the competition

Speaking to “Sharjah24”, Al Tunaiji explained that the current edition saw strong participation from residents of the Central Region, with nearly 400 students from Quran memorisation circles in mosques across the region competing for the award.

Of the participants, 145 students were honoured for demonstrating high levels of memorisation and recitation skills.

Appreciation for families and teachers

Al Tunaiji affirmed that the award’s success reflects the combined efforts and partnership among the Establishment’s administration, parents and teachers.

He praised the dedication of instructors and supervisors who supported students throughout their preparation for the various award categories.
