The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by Dr Saif Khamees Al Naqbi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs, while it was signed on behalf of the association by Counsellor Zayed Saeed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials and specialists from both sides.
The memorandum comes as part of both parties’ commitment to building a strategic partnership that contributes to the exchange of legal and institutional expertise and knowledge, and enhances integration in implementing joint initiatives and programmes that support the development of legal work. It also includes organising specialised conferences, seminars, and workshops that contribute to spreading legal culture and improving professional practice.
The agreement also aims to support training programmes and provide practical and professional training opportunities for law students and university graduates. It further seeks to strengthen cooperation channels with legal entities and law firms, contributing to refining students’ skills and preparing them for the labour market.
In addition, the memorandum includes the exchange of legal studies, research, and publications, as well as holding periodic meetings to review best practices and develop future areas of cooperation between the two parties.
