Sharjah24 - WAM: ADNOC Distribution has announced a strategic partnership with ADNOC Distribution and Americana Restaurants International PLC aimed at enhancing everyday customer convenience and delivering integrated food experiences across ADNOC Distribution service stations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Under the agreement, up to 200 quick-service restaurants from 12 leading global brands operated by Americana Restaurants will be opened across ADNOC Distribution’s network. This expansion will significantly broaden food options and improve access to well-known international brands for customers during their daily journeys.

Integrated convenience and lifestyle experience

The partnership is designed to offer high-quality, easily accessible dining experiences within a unified mobility and retail ecosystem. It combines ADNOC Distribution’s extensive service station network with Americana Restaurants’ operational expertise and portfolio of leading global brands.

This initiative supports ADNOC Distribution’s strategy to accelerate growth in its non-fuel retail business, while enhancing its integrated offering of mobility and retail destinations.

In response to evolving customer expectations, the company continues to expand its service station offerings to include food and beverage services, electric vehicle charging, car care, and broader lifestyle services.

Leadership perspectives

Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Americana Restaurants, said the collaboration reflects the company’s ambition to expand its brand portfolio footprint and deliver its global operational expertise across high-traffic consumer touchpoints.

He added that the evolving roadside retail sector allows Americana Restaurants to transform fuel stations and mobility hubs into integrated destinations where customers can access trusted brands, quality food options and hospitality experiences during travel.

He also noted that the partnership redefines convenience and sets a new benchmark for integrated food and mobility experiences across the region.

Engineer Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, said the agreement represents a further step in enhancing customer convenience and accelerating growth in non-fuel retail across the region. He highlighted that combining ADNOC’s network and customer base with Americana’s global brands and operational capabilities will deliver accessible, integrated retail experiences to millions of customers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

He added that this approach strengthens ADNOC Distribution’s contribution to the national economy, creates long-term shareholder value, and supports business diversification and resilience.

Expansion of The Hub concept

The partnership will support the continued rollout of The Hub by ADNOC, ADNOC Distribution’s modern, integrated retail destination concept. The platform is expected to expand to 30 locations across the UAE by 2030.

The Hub combines traditional fuel services, EV charging, car care, food outlets, and lifestyle offerings in a single location, reflecting ADNOC Distribution’s focus on enhancing customer engagement and expanding higher-margin retail services.

These destinations are projected to generate up to USD 30 million in annual EBITDA by 2030.

Americana Restaurants’ brands will be integrated into multiple The Hub locations, improving customer convenience by providing access to trusted restaurant chains at fuel, charging and travel stops.

Business impact and growth outlook

The partnership supports ADNOC Distribution’s goal of doubling its non-fuel retail transactions by 2030. The segment continues to be a key growth driver, recording over 14% year-on-year gross profit growth and more than 9% growth in transaction volumes in 2025.

For Americana Restaurants, the collaboration expands its presence in high-traffic locations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, strengthening brand visibility and customer accessibility.

Americana Restaurants currently operates 2,749 restaurants as of 31 March 2026, generating USD 2.5 billion in revenue in 2025, up 14.2% year-on-year. Its EBITDA reached USD 595.6 million, reflecting operational scale, strong market presence and disciplined execution of its strategy.
