Sharjah 24: Sheikh Dr Salem Mohammed Al Doubi, Director of the Religious Guidance Department at the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs, stated that Eid Al Adha is among the greatest rituals of Islam ordained by Allah for Muslims.

He pointed out that the occasion comes after the performance of one of the greatest acts of worship, namely standing at Arafat and completing the Hajj rituals, reflecting the meanings of obedience and drawing closer to Allah Almighty.

Eid celebrations reflect gratitude and devotion

Dr Al Doubi said in statements to “Sharjah 24” that Muslims welcome this blessed occasion by giving thanks to Allah for His blessings through performing the Eid prayer and offering sacrifices in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.

He explained that the sacrificial offering represents a manifestation of drawing closer to Allah Almighty and reviving the values of giving and generosity.

Promoting family ties and social solidarity

He added that Eid Al Adha also embodies the meanings of maintaining family ties and social solidarity, as Muslims are keen to bring joy to their families and relatives and provide for them generously, thereby reinforcing the values of love and compassion among members of society.

Prayers for continued blessings

Dr Al Doubi concluded his statement with prayers that Allah accepts everyone’s righteous deeds and continues to bless the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations, with goodness, prosperity and blessings.
