Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Ali, Director of Project Management and External Aid, stated that SCI is keen on implementing Iftar project by setting up Iftar tables in villages where the SCI has implemented projects. This aims to foster a sense of unity and bring the village residents together for a communal Iftar, where they contribute to cooking and organizing, promoting cooperation during the holy month. The initiative is a subsidiary of the larger "Saim Iftar" project, which is one of the main projects of the Ramadan campaign "Jood."
He emphasized that SCI has managed to distribute 35,000 Iftar meals, with 8,000 meals in Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Egypt, and Angola each. The project, which focuses on providing ready-made meals to fasting individuals in those areas, is a noble tradition upheld by SCI in collaboration with its overseas offices and in coordination with the UAE's embassies and volunteers from the countries covered by the initiative.
Al Ali also pointed out that the Saim Iftar project is not limited to mobile Iftar meals alone. The SCI distributes over 250,000 fasting Iftar meals throughout the blessed month of Ramadan in more than 43 countries worldwide, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the UAE's embassies and regional offices of the charity. Al Ali expressed profound gratitude to the supporters and donors of the Iftar projects and other projects of the SCI. He also extended his heartfelt thanks to the UAE's embassies for their support and cooperation with the SCI in implementing the project for its beneficiaries.
