Sharjah24: Sharjah Airport (SA) announced the completion of its full preparations to welcome passengers during Eid Al Fitr holiday, and the full readiness to optimally handle the expected record increase in flight movement and accommodate the number of aircraft that will use the airport during this season, which sees a growing demand for travel to and from the UAE.
Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) expects to welcome approximately 550,000 passengers through Sharjah Airport and handle more than 3200 flight movements, from 2 to 15 April, with an average daily movement of over 42,000 passengers. The team is keen to ensure a safe, comfortable, and smooth travel experience for airport users, and to take all necessary measures to provide the optimal service that meets the expectations of travellers, whether they are coming to Sharjah or traveling outside the UAE, enhancing the fluidity of movement at the airport.

Travel and flight movements through Sharjah Airport are linked with more than 100 international destinations in the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, North and East Africa, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Europe.

SAA, in cooperation with its strategic partners, will implement a detailed plan to deal with the number of travelers and flight movements by providing the appropriate number of human resources in all work locations, especially customer service employees, ensuring the highest level of facilities and preparing all support facilities and services, in addition to ensuring the readiness of services and other facilities designated for social groups such as the elderly, children, patients, and people of determination.
