Sharjah24: Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority was present at the Business Continuity Committee meeting in Sharjah. The objective of the Business Continuity Programme is to enhance preparedness for potential emergencies and disasters. The discussion centred on its implementation. Numerous government officials and committee members witnessed the event at the Sharjah Academy for Education.
In a statement to "Sharjah 24," Colonel Dr. Hamdan Rashid Al-Tunaiji emphasised the committee's advancements since its inception and detailed future objectives to enhance sustainability in the performance of both the government and private sector. The meeting also addressed the sector's significant accomplishments, with Al-Tunaiji emphasising that it was a strategic progression towards the evaluation of the present situation and the formulation of future development strategies.
The chairman of the executive committee revealed that numerous government entities have successfully implemented continuity programmes and achieved high levels of efficiency and effectiveness, thereby meeting the Business Continuity System standards. The forum also discussed the strategies and procedures put in place to guarantee the emirate's business operations remain uninterrupted.
The seminar concluded with a discussion of the challenges Sharjah's business continuity teams faced, as well as the presentation of developmental recommendations to improve the quality of work.
