Sharjah 24: In accordance with Decree No. 499 dated December 9, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of the Republic of Turkmenistan, awarded the Turkmen Magtymguly Pyragy medal to the Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, Professor Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, in appreciation of his scientific efforts, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy.
The occasion was celebrated at Magtymguly University in the capital, Ashgabat, on Tuesday, December 10, in a ceremony attended by His Excellency Bayramkul Orazdurdiyeva, Deputy Prime Minister for Science and Education Affairs, and a number of honourees from scholars, researchers and specialists from different countries.
Dr. Awad Al Khalaf highly appreciated the honour and expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the President of the Republic for awarding him this medal, which will remain a source of appreciation and pride.
