Rubu’ Qarn Music dazzles at Excellence Ceremony

Sharjah24: The greatly awaited Excellence Ceremony of the Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre enthralled the audience with its musical performances and outstanding segments, showcasing more than 10 acts. The event featured a remarkable Italian troupe showcasing the extraordinary art of acappella in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi.
The two-day ceremony highlighted the remarkable talents of students from the Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre, featuring solo, duet, trio, and group performances, as well as the Rubu’ Qarn Music Orchestra. The event showcased the essence of teamwork, which characterised this year’s programme.  

The ceremony was honoured by the attendance of H.E. Edoardo Napoli, Consul General of the Republic of Italy in Dubai; Susanna Iacona Salafia, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi; Dr Abdul Aziz Al-Noman; Reem Bin Karam; and Hanan Al Mahmoud, who are members of the Board of Directors of the Rubu-Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators.

In his statement of purpose, Furat Qaddouri, the Executive Director of Rubu' Qarn Music, stated the following:

"Music significantly influences the development of human character." It serves not just as an art form but also as a means to cultivate cognitive skills and enrich various intelligences. This art profoundly influences communities, accompanying individuals on their journeys and articulating their experiences and emotions. 

Therefore, Her Highness established the 'Rubu' Qarn Music Programme'. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and chairperson of the Rubu' Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, aligns with a national strategic vision that aims to foster a well-rounded and healthy society.

This initiative aims to foster well-rounded citizens and protect them from various forms of intellectual and behavioural violence by ensuring that music remains a valuable educational and creative tool that fosters societal welfare and unity.

The Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre has reaffirmed its dedication to fostering creativity and nurturing young artistic talents through a variety of performances. The second day culminated with a performance by the Italian troupe Mezzotono, showcasing more than 10 captivating acts. The ceremony acted as a dynamic stage to showcase the distinctive cultural and educational significance of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators in Sharjah.
