Aligning with the UAE’s innovation strategy
Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat, emphasised that the initiative is in harmony with the UAE’s strategy, which focusses on innovation and excellence in public services. The campaign assists businesses in comprehending and calculating zakat via the Emirates Digital Programme for Corporate Zakat Calculation (Fourth Generation)—a pioneering service crafted in accordance with accounting and Sharia principles.
You can access the programme on the Zakat Fund website and through the Zakat app. The Ministry of Economy has acknowledged it as a patented and registered intellectual property. It allows businesses in trade, industry, and services to determine their zakat using financial statements.
The authority is promoting "Z-Companies," a specialised service designed for business owners, accountants, CFOs, executives, and zakat institutions that enhances the efficiency of corporate zakat calculations through advanced technology.
Promoting sustainable giving
Dr Al Darei emphasised the Authority’s dedication to enhancing zakat awareness and fostering sustainable giving, urging businesses to meet their zakat obligations as a demonstration of gratitude and social responsibility.
