Maryam Al Hammadi, Director of Intaj, explained that the new catalogue plays a key role in helping member families establish strong commercial identities. It enhances the visibility of their products and supports their expansion into wider marketing channels. The catalogue also facilitates online order placement via the Centre’s website and showcases the creative artistic concepts presented by the home-based businesses.
Al Hammadi emphasised that the role of Intaj extends far beyond providing financial and technical aid. It also offers advisory services in areas such as digital auditing, sales, and market expansion. These efforts aim to open new avenues for local home-based businesses to grow and thrive in the competitive marketplace.
The printing workshop project was launched at the beginning of 2025. As part of the initiative, families enrolled under the Centre’s “Creativity Package”—one of five tailored support programmes based on specific business areas—received specialised training in printing techniques. Delivered by an expert team, the training focused on using the latest printing devices, creating designs, and marketing the final products through the department’s digital platforms. The Centre has since begun fulfilling orders from various institutions, government bodies, companies, and other clients.
Al Hammadi concluded by stating that the workshop aims to nurture the skills of home-based businesses and equip them with modern techniques that align with current market trends. The goal is to cultivate innovation, move beyond traditional crafting approaches, and provide families with the knowledge and resources necessary to develop and professionally promote their products.
