The lecture was organised in collaboration with the Leaders School in Armenia and was attended by over 200 participants from youth, academics, entrepreneurs, and officials. It featured significant interaction and rich discussions that demonstrated the attendees' appreciation of the Emirati experience and its successes across various sectors.
During the lecture, His Excellency emphasised that, thanks to the vision of its wise leadership, the UAE has achieved remarkable development over five decades, including progress in education, health, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and innovation in key sectors. He noted that what the country has accomplished today is the result of a strategic approach led by the founding fathers, especially the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and further strengthened by the President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He also examined the development of education in the UAE, from general education to university studies and scientific research, emphasising that the UAE has become a global centre for science, hosting major universities, attracting talent, and encouraging future specialisations across all renewable fields and advanced technologies.
In his lecture, he emphasised that the development journey in the United Arab Emirates is a remarkable success story in the modern world, as the country has managed to transform from a simple society reliant on traditional activities and oil into one of the most diverse and advanced economies regionally and globally. This path is driven by a clear leadership vision that anticipates the future and balances economic, social, and environmental development, following an approach rooted in investing in people and empowering them with science and knowledge.
His Excellency highlighted that the UAE initially focused on developing infrastructure, education, and healthcare, before advancing towards more sophisticated sectors such as innovation, the digital economy, renewable energy, space, and artificial intelligence, within the framework of UAE Vision 2071, which aims to position the nation among the world's leaders in all fields. The UAE has also established itself as a global hub for business and innovation, as well as a destination for talent, thanks to its flexible policies, modern legislation, and national strategies that prioritise people in sustainable development.
This integrated approach exemplifies the UAE's philosophy rooted in work, achievement, and international partnership. The country has not only realised development within its borders but has also become an active contributor to global humanitarian and development efforts. It embodies a unique development model that combines economic prosperity, social justice, and environmental sustainability.
In his speech, Al Nuaimi emphasised the UAE's crucial role in supporting the climate action agenda, citing the success of hosting COP28 globally and the influential international initiatives it has established towards a green economy and clean energy. He also expressed his support and hope for the Republic of Armenia to host COP17 next year, emphasising that international cooperation and knowledge sharing are essential for achieving a sustainable future.
The lecture also emphasised the UAE's approach to supporting and empowering youth, noting that the UAE has prioritised this group in its national programmes through enabling policies in education, work, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It also highlighted the importance of effective institutions dedicated to preparing young leaders capable of participating in decision-making and enhancing the country's position in international forums.
He highlighted that relations between the UAE and the Republic of Armenia are expanding rapidly across various sectors, particularly in investment, education, tourism, and modern technologies. He explained that these relations are built on mutual respect and a shared aim to promote sustainable development, facilitate experience exchange, and attract quality investments. He stressed the importance of sharing expertise, strengthening joint cooperation, and transferring knowledge between the two nations — efforts that help empower youth both academically and practically, and reinforce principles of sustainable innovation.
At the end of the lecture, attendees expressed their deep admiration for the Emirati experience and the balanced approach that combines economic progress with the preservation of human and environmental values. They praised the efforts of His Excellency Dr Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi in promoting knowledge, fostering a culture of developmental dialogue, empowering youth, and strengthening international partnerships in innovation and sustainability.
