The theatre groups wishing to participate are presenting their productions before the Selection Committee, which consists of Walid Al Zaabi, artist Mohammed Saeed Al Saltie, and artist Mohammed Jumaa Ali. The committee will conclude its work on Sunday, 23 November, by watching the plays “The Kingdom of Ailira” and “My Mother, My Rose”. After completing the viewing of all productions, the committee will prepare a detailed report for the Higher Organising Committee of the Emirates Children's Theatre Festival, based on whether each play is accepted or not, taking into account the script’s concept and its suitability for children’s imagination, ethical, behavioural, and educational standards, the artistic value of the theatrical work, as well as the directorial vision and how harmoniously it aligns with the script.
Speaking about the festival and its impact on the theatrical scene, the Chairman of the Theatrical Association and Chairman of the Festival, Ismail Abdullah, said:
“From one edition to the next, this festival continues to maintain its presence within the theatrical, cultural, and social landscape of the UAE through carefully selected theatrical productions. We hope these works will serve as tools to deepen children’s thinking and awareness, while remaining an important space for entertainment and benefit. We constantly strive to develop the festival and preserve the wide public engagement achieved in previous editions. We are determined that the new edition will fulfil all the expectations placed upon it and be exceptional on all levels, under the generous support and noble patronage of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, may God protect and preserve him.”
