Hosted by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Sharjah ruler and chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council, the forum emphasizes the emirate's dedication to safeguarding children and promoting their role in society within a family-centered social development vision.
Since its start in 2019, the forum has become a key platform for dialogue on child safety, addressing psychological, social, and digital issues affecting children. It also showcases best practices in protection, empowerment, and mindful parenting.
The forum features main and specialty sessions focusing on the family’s role in creating safe environments, positive parenting techniques, and instilling religious and societal values. It will also explore modern challenges like the stresses of modern life, digital disengagement, and silent distress among children.
Hanadi Al Yafei, director general of the Child Safety Campaign, stated that the event reflects Sharjah’s humanitarian responsibility to protect children and underscores the shared societal duty. She emphasized the importance of ensuring children feel safe, confident, and loved, fostering their overall development and happiness.
