The occasion took place on Kalba Beach from 15 to 16 November and saw over 5,000 participants competing across 29 sports.
Archers from the UAE, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, China, India and South Korea participated, enhancing the competitive diversity and variety of technical styles displayed throughout the event.
Sharjah athletes dominate from the opening day
Sharjah athletes demonstrated their preparedness across all age groups. Shamma Al Kaabi took gold in the U15 recurve event, while Salama Al Ali won gold in the U12 category, with Alia Al Sheraa claiming bronze. Massa Al Durrus secured another bronze in the U15 compound event.
The momentum carried on into the second day. Mona Faisal Al Sheraa won gold in the U18 recurve event, with Samia Odineva taking silver and Sheikha Al Ali earning bronze. In the women’s recurve category, Fatima Al Blooshi claimed gold, followed by Sniehal Divakar in second place and Hessa Al Awadhi in third. In the women’s compound division, Amina Al Awadhi won gold.
Coach Zukhr Tagaeva observed that the athletes’ performance reflected their focus and confidence on the field. She stated that the team’s participation aimed to provide competitive exposure, with the results arising from the players’ commitment and disciplined training. She emphasised the importance of these events in strengthening technical and mental consistency.
These achievements confirm the steady progress of archery within the club, supported by training programmes and technical camps organised by Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation. The efforts are in line with the Foundation’s vision to develop female athletes and enable them to compete confidently at local and international levels.
The archery events ended on a positive note that highlighted the community spirit of the Games, emphasising Sharjah’s athletes' preparedness to keep achieving outstanding results in future competitions.
