Greetings from Jassim Al Khayal on the 54th Eid Al Etihad

Sharjah 24: On the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the founding of the Union of the Arab Emirates, Major General Jassim Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayal, Commander-in-Chief of the Amiri Guard, extended his highest congratulations and warmest blessings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; to Their Highnesses the Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates; to Their Crown Princes; and to all citizens of the UAE.

In a statement to "Sharjah 24" commemorating this beloved national holiday, Major General Al-Khayal offered his heartfelt prayers that God Almighty would surround the country's founding leaders in His boundless mercy and forgiveness—may their souls rest in peace—and bestow upon the UAE's rulers ongoing optimal health and well-being. He said that the values of kindness and unity that have been part of the country's history are being renewed today.

In his statement, he prayed for continued security and stability for the nation during Eid Al Etihad, as well as better progress and prosperity in all fields. May the UAE continue to be a symbol of pride and dignity, a beacon of stability and achievement—one of which we are all proud, and whose path we follow in accordance with our wise leadership's vision and the legacy of our founding fathers."
