Sharjah Police seizes 106 vehicles, 9 Motorbikes on Eid Al Etihad

Sharjah24: As part of its efforts to enhance road safety, the Sharjah Police seized 106 vehicles during the Eid Al Etihad celebrations, in addition to nine motorbikes whose riders committed violations that posed risks to road users. These offences included causing excessive noise, disturbing others, reckless and dangerous driving, and driving without a licence.

Crackdown on irresponsible road behaviours

Brigadier Khalid Al Kai, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, stressed that Sharjah Police places great importance on addressing irresponsible road behaviour, particularly during national occasions that require heightened commitment and awareness. He added that such acts do not reflect the spirit of celebration and represent a danger to the public.

Continued monitoring and legal action

Sharjah Police affirmed that these violations are among the most common behaviours that threaten public safety, especially during events and celebrations. The force continues to intensify patrols and monitoring points and to take legal action against offenders, thereby strengthening the security and safety of all members of the community.
