The workshop aims to equip participants with practical knowledge to help them manage their finances and make informed decisions that contribute to building a more balanced and secure economic future.
The workshop is one of the initiatives launched by Tatweer to support young people in understanding the fundamentals of financial planning, organising personal budgets, and learning basic investment concepts. It also aims to develop their ability to prioritise financial needs and manage their daily spending more consciously.
The workshop focuses on helping participants develop a practical vision for their future financial plans, understand the principles of financial diversification, and grasp methods that contribute to making sound decisions related to their economic and personal realities. Furthermore, it aims to enhance young people's ability to think responsibly about finances, which supports their long-term career and life paths.
In this context, Mahra Sultan Al Suwaidi, Head of Programmes at Tatweer, emphasised the importance of this type of initiative in enhancing financial literacy among young people, saying: “This type of programme plays a vital role in empowering youth economically, providing them with the knowledge and tools to understand the value of financial planning, develop conscious investment behaviour, and confidently manage their resources. We believe that financial literacy is not an additional skill, but rather a fundamental element in young people’s ability to build a stable and productive future.”
Al Suwaidi added that the organisation continues to offer diverse programmes that meet the needs of the current generation and help young people acquire practical skills that enhance their active participation in society and the economy, in line with the Emirate of Sharjah’s vision of investing in human capital as the cornerstone of development and societal progress.
