Sharjah 24: The UAE Olympic national team defeated Oman 2-0 in their opening match of the Arabian Gulf CupU-23 tournament, held today at Aspire Zone Stadium (1) in Doha, Qatar, as part of Group B.

The goals were scored by Mansour Al Menhali (31') and Ali Al Maamari (71'), both from penalty kicks.
