3 winners of Sharjah Prize for Critical Research in Fine Arts

Sharjah 24: Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department at the Department of Culture, recently announced the winners of a significant award in the Arab world. Azzedine Bourka from Morocco took first place, followed by Ahmed Gamal Eid from Egypt in second, and Riad Ben Haj Ahmed from Tunisia in third. These winners were selected from more than 50 research papers submitted by scholars across the Arab region, underscoring the award's importance and prestige.

In an interview with “Sharjah 24,” Al Qasir noted that this award stands out in the Arab world for its focus on significant research in the visual arts. He emphasized that the research submitted is a valuable addition to Arabic literature and reflects Sharjah’s dedication to supporting academic work.

The judging panel for the 16th Sharjah Award for Critical Research in the Visual Arts included three esteemed scholars: Dr Farid Al Zahy from Morocco, Dr Iyad Hussein Abdullah from Iraq, and Dr Mohammed Abdul Rahman Hassan from Sudan.
