Sharjah 24: The UAE national football team advanced to the semi-finals of the Arab Cup after defeating Algeria 7-6 on penalties at Al Bayt Stadium in Doha, Qatar, in the quarter-final round.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time, and the score remained the same after extra time, with the UAE ultimately prevailing in the penalty shootout.

Algeria opened the scoring through Adil Boulbina in the 46th minute, before Bruno de Oliveira equalised for the UAE in the 64th minute.
