Mohammed Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Sports Channel, confirmed that the channel has developed an integrated coverage plan to reflect the importance of the UAE President’s Cup final as the most significant event marking the end of the domestic football season. He emphasised the team’s aim to deliver diverse content combining field reporting, technical analysis, documentaries, and fan-focused programmes, enhancing the viewing experience and reflecting the tournament’s strong significance among football audiences in the UAE.
For the occasion, the channel has produced six documentaries covering the history of the competition, final match memories, and key moments from both teams’ journeys. These include “A Final We Will Never Forget”, “Purple Seven”, “Al Jazira and Gold”, “The Makers of the Final”, which highlights behind-the-scenes organisational efforts by the Football Association, “From the Memory of Champions”, and “Legends”, focusing on iconic players from both clubs.
The channel will also air two special episodes dedicated to the fans of both teams, along with two separate editions of “The Road to the Final”, each following one team’s journey to the decisive match. In addition, special evening broadcasts of the programme “Our Stadiums” will be presented from various tourist and entertainment locations across the Emirate of Sharjah, including the Space and Astronomy Centre, Al Rahmaniyah Mall, and Aljada.
Exclusive interviews will include Al Jazira star Nabil Fekir, as well as a special interview with a key player from Al Ain. The coverage will also feature training sessions, press conferences on the eve of the match, and a full network of correspondents deployed across Abu Dhabi to follow all on-ground developments.
The channel has mobilised its programmes, including “From the UAE”, “Sports Line”, and “Our Stadiums”, to provide continuous coverage featuring tactical analysis, fan reactions, and social media engagement surrounding the final.
On match day, coverage begins at 2:00 pm through the programme “From the UAE”, followed by “Sports Line”, which tracks the final pre-match atmosphere. A comprehensive pre-match studio show will feature a panel of analysts and former players. After the final, “Our Stadiums” will return with full post-match coverage, while special segments will revisit historic finals and include testimonies from UAE football legends about the significance of the event.
The channel will also broadcast all accompanying events, fan coverage from around the stadium, tactical expectations, team performance analysis, and live updates through to the trophy presentation and winning celebrations.
Sharjah Sports Channel’s digital platform will provide continuous coverage across social media channels and online platforms, including breaking news, video clips, behind-the-scenes content, and exclusive interviews. It will also enable real-time audience interaction and capture public opinions and predictions ahead of the match, strengthening the channel’s digital presence and allowing fans to follow every detail of the final inside and outside the stadium.
