Sharjah24: Sharjah Police announced that preventive efforts under the “Aman” initiative have contributed to a 29% reduction in criminal reports in the first half of 2025, compared with the same period last year, reinforcing public safety and quality of life across the emirate.

The “Aman” initiative, organised by the General Department of Comprehensive Police Stations, aims to strengthen preventive security work and reduce crime in priority security areas. The initiative enhances on-the-ground presence, monitors behavioural patterns, and applies proactive measures to prevent crime before it occurs.

Effective coordination and field readiness

During a ceremony honouring field teams, Brigadier General Ibrahim Musabah Al Ajel, Deputy Director General of Police Operations at the Sharjah Police, affirmed that the results achieved demonstrate the effectiveness of coordinated fieldwork and systematic planning. He praised the dedication and efficiency of police personnel in carrying out their duties and adopting advanced preventive approaches.

Supporting safety and quality of life

Al Ajel highlighted that Sharjah Police continues to develop its preventive mechanisms and operational methods in line with emerging security challenges, thereby contributing to crime reduction and enhanced community reassurance.
